Description
24 and 26 Carlton Street are two houses that have been converted into offices. They were built in the late 18th century and have been altered in the late 19th and late 20th centuries. The buildings are constructed of brick with painted ashlar dressings and feature slate roofs. There is a 19th-century panelled ridge stack and dentillated moulded brick eaves. The structures are three storeys high with attics and have a three-window range. Most of the windows are original glazing bar sashes, which have panelled wedge lintels and double keystones. To the right, two windows are located in a slightly recessed bay. The attics feature two late 19th-century hipped dormers with casement windows. The ground floor has a late 20th-century shopfront and entrance bay.
