Description

The building at 28-32 Iron Gate is a commercial property dating to approximately 1912. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings, with the ground and third stories faced in stone. The third story features Corinthian pilasters, an elaborate frieze, and a cornice. The front elevation has seven tall, recessed windows, each framed by pilasters and cornices, and a continuous Greek key frieze at the first floor level. The ground floor has rusticated stone pilasters, and a central doorway with a segmental arched head, voluted keyblock, a ten-panelled divided door, and steps leading up. The building forms a group with numbers 25-27, 33, and 34 Iron Gate.
