Description
The building at 33 Carlton Crescent dates to approximately 1830 and occupies a corner location. It is three storeys high with a basement. The exterior is stuccoed, with the ground floor rusticated. A cornice and plain frieze run along the upper level. The south elevation originally featured four Doric stone columns forming a portico, although only two and a half of these columns remain, and a later projecting wing now intrudes into the original design. A flight of stone steps leads to the entrance. The east elevation has a large, three-storey segmental bow window, with the frieze and cornice continued around the three windows.
