Description
No. 40 Iron Gate is an 18th-century building that has undergone later alterations. It is constructed of stucco and features three storeys. The first storey has a modern showroom window that slightly projects and is topped with a cornice. The second storey retains two sash windows set within 19th-century moulded dog-eared surrounds. The building also has moulded wood eaves and is topped with tiles. The modern shop front is part of the overall design.
