8/72 Barn approx. So metres - north west of Estate House

Barn, now workshops. Late C18 or early C19. Coursed squared stone with quoins. Stone slate roof. 7 internal bays. Elliptical-arched cart-entry to left. Rear: opposing cart-entry to right. Near-central 1st-floor doorway up a flight of stone steps. To the left of this is a doorway with flanking lights all under deep lintels, and 2 square pitching holes (now windows) at high level. Interior: 7 roof trusses with deep oak tie-beams and slender sawn softwood fishbone trusses. Brick cross-wall between bays 4 and 5. Late C20 rafters. Included for group value.
