Description
The town well, located approximately 25 metres east of the eastern range of farm buildings at Home Farm and about 25 metres north of the road, dates back to 1742. It features an ashlar construction with a brick vaulted roof and has a rectangular plan. The well is designed in a classical style, showcasing a simple gabled front with a central doorway that includes a dated lintel. The structure has moulded coping and low, coursed stone sides that create a low parapet, behind which the brick vaulting is situated.
