Description
The well house at Holton Park, located approximately 150 meters to the northwest, dates from the 16th century and later. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and rubble. The front of the well house features a chamfered opening with a Tudor arch cut into the lintel. To the left, there is a later section of walling that includes a small segmental-arched opening. Both sections are built into an earth bank. A short length of rubble walling projects from the left, with further sections of this walling surviving nearby. Inside, the square chamber over the well has an ashlar barrel-vaulted roof. This structure is associated with the former manor house.
