Description
This building is a library that was originally a house, dating from the early 19th century and has been altered. It features scored stucco and a slate roof, with a rectangular three-unit plan. The structure is two storeys high and has three symmetrical bays. It includes a plinth and sill bands on both floors. The central doorway has an open-pedimented Tuscan architrave, a round-headed design with imposts, and a fanlight with radiating glazing bars. There are two windows at ground floor level (now fitted with plate glass) and three twelve-pane sash windows on the first floor, with the central window featuring a moulded architrave. The wall rises as a parapet that conceals the roof. Note that any additions to the rear are not included in this listing. The interior has been altered.
