Description
Byram Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with later alterations and 20th-century additions that are not of particular interest. It was designed by John Carr and features a rendered exterior with ashlar dressings and a slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with the central bay projecting slightly forward. The entrance is a 20th-century glazed door set under a pediment, flanked by narrow casement windows with a sill band. Above the entrance is a tripartite window, with narrow windows on either side, all on a continuous sill band, consisting of sashes and casements. The facade includes an ashlar band, a low parapet, and a cornice topped with ball finials. The wings of the farmhouse feature a two-storey inset arch with a four-pane sash window and sill bands on each floor, along with a broken band at the first-floor level. The roof is hipped, and there are central and ridge stacks.
