Description
The Lodge is an early building that was nearly reconstructed around 1820 and later altered in the mid to late 19th century. It is made of stucco and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with the central bay slightly advanced. On the ground floor, there is a central original door with a lattice fanlight, flanked by Tuscan pilasters that support an entablature and hood. On either side of the door, there are broad canted bays with slate roofs, each containing a single central window. The first floor features three sash windows, all complete with glazing bars. The eaves are wide and boarded. At the back, there is a covered veranda supported by wooden scroll-like brackets.
