Description
Queensmead and Woodlands are two houses that were originally one building, dating from the early 19th century with later 19th-century alterations. The structure is made of coursed squared gritstone featuring herringbone tooling and ashlar details, topped with slate roofs.
Woodlands (No.11) is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical façade with five windows, which are sashes with glazing bars and wedge lintels. To the right, there is a two-storeyed canted bay that has a cornice and three sashes on each floor. The house features deep eaves, a hipped roof, and a corniced ridge stack. The entrance is located on the left return and is set back, consisting of a panelled and glazed door with a traceried overlight.
Queensmead (No.9) is also two storeys tall and has three windows, which are sashes with glazing bars. It includes a later 19th-century porch and a tall round-headed stair window, with an end stack on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
