Description
The gatepiers and attached screen walls mark the entrance to the former Kippax Park, located between numbers 38 and 40 on High Street in Kippax. These structures date from the 18th century and are made of magnesian limestone ashlar. The gatepiers are square in shape, approximately 3 meters high, and feature a rusticated design with moulded caps and ball finials. Each pier is connected to a short screen wall that abuts the adjacent properties. The gates are missing, and as of 1986, the entrance is partly blocked with a stone wall and a small wooden gate, which are not included in the listing.
