Description

The gatepiers, wall, and mounting block located south and east of Kirkheaton Manor are 18th-century structures, with the walls possibly dating from an earlier period. They are constructed from squared stone and ashlar. The wall stands approximately 7 feet high around the east and south sides of the garden and features tall rusticated corniced piers with ball finials that break the wall in the center of the south side. Additionally, there is a mounting block against the outside of the south wall, which includes five steps.
