Description
The farm buildings located north of White House Farmhouse consist of byres, a barn, stables, and shelter sheds, dating from the early 18th century and early 19th century, with repairs made in 1911. They are constructed of random rubble with cut-stone dressings and feature a roof made of stone slate and Welsh slate. The main long range at the rear has projecting shorter ranges at each end.
The long range includes three segmental arches leading to shelter sheds at each end and has boarded doors for the threshing barn in the center. The left section of the roof is a steep pitch covered with stone slates, while the remaining roof is also steeply pitched but covered with Welsh slates and features overlapping coping.
The 18th-century byres on the left have two boarded doors set in alternating-block surrounds and are topped with a steeply-pitched stone slate roof that has reverse-stepped gables. The stables on the right were altered and re-roofed in 1911, featuring overlapping coping and rounded kneelers.
