Description

The former schoolhouse, now a private house, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is built of dressed stone and features a graduated Lakeland slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a central four-panel door. The ground floor has 16-pane sash windows, while the upper floor has 9-pane sash windows. The roof is gabled and includes corniced end stacks.

To the left, there is an early 19th-century single-storey, one-bay addition that has a Yorkshire sash window set in a chamfered surround, supported by stone brackets at the eaves.
