Description

The former stable at Barnhill Farm, now used as a corn store, dates from 1722 and 1736. It is constructed of dressed stone and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of two bays. On the right side, there is a boarded door framed in a Gibbs surround, which is dated 1736 and has a panelled keystone. To the left, there is a small 12-pane Yorkshire sash window. The first floor has two small slatted windows. The roof is steeply pitched and has small stone brackets beneath the eaves, along with reverse-stepped gables. At the rear, there is a blocked doorway with a chamfered surround that is also dated.
