Description

The garden wall and gatepiers located to the east of No. 4 on Capheaton Front Street date from the late 18th century. The wall is constructed of dressed stone and stands approximately 4 feet high, featuring a flat coping. It ramps down on both sides of the gateway, which is flanked by simple arched piers. This structure is included for its group value.
