Description
No. 60 Parkside Road is a pair of semi-detached cottages that have been converted into one house. Likely built in the mid-19th century, they incorporate 18th-century stonework and have been altered in the 20th century. The exterior features coursed squared gritstone and a stone slate roof. The building is two stories high with two first-floor windows and has quoins. The entrances are located at the far left and right, featuring 20th-century glazed doors set in slightly projecting stone surrounds, with lintels that have bolection moulding and a cornice above. The windows have 20th-century small-pane frames, square shapes, plain sills, and lintels, but lack jambs. There are cyma-moulded stone gutter brackets and gable copings, with the left gable coping being moulded. A rebuilt small ridge stack is located at the center of the roof. The interior has not been inspected.
