Description

This is a column dating from around 1672, which was relocated to its current site around 1847. It is made of gritstone and ashlar, featuring a square base and plinth, topped with a tall Roman Doric column. The column was originally part of the interior of the old Mill Hill Unitarian chapel and was moved to enhance the landscaping of the grounds of 'Meanwoodside', a property that has since been demolished, for Edward Oates.
