The building is a dyeworks and attached warehouse dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in English and random bond, topped with slate roofs and features ashlar coped gables. The dyeworks has a three-bay, four-storey street front that includes a large central round-headed doorway with double plank doors, flanked by single casement windows. Inside, there are shallow brick vaults supported on cast-iron columns. To the left, there is a two-storey workshop that includes a cart entrance with double plank doors and a stable door with an overlight. Above this, there is a loft door and a single casement window. Further to the left is the warehouse, which has three bays and three storeys plus a garret. Its gabled street front features a central doorway with double plank doors, an iron-framed glazing-bar window to the right flanked by small square openings, a blocked window to the left, and a 20th-century inserted frame. Each of the upper floors has a central loft doorway with double plank doors, flanked by single iron-frame windows, and there is a blind round-headed opening in the gable.
