Description
The building consists of a former coach house and stables, now used for storage and as a garage, along with a boundary wall and a garden house located at the rear of Spring Hill. It dates from the mid-19th century and was altered in the 20th century. The structure is made of coursed squared stone with slate roofs featuring stone copings and ashlar details.
From north to south, the tall single-storey former stable has a hay loft above and is divided into three narrow bays. It features a central door with a loft door in the gable above and flanking plate-glass sash windows. The former coach house is lower and consists of one bay, with an inserted garage door and deep eaves. The boundary wall, which runs approximately 15 meters in length and is about 1.2 meters high, connects to Elmfield and includes a small single-storey garden house. The wall has rounded coping and a terminal at the south end topped with a stepped pyramid capstone.
The garden house has an entrance on the west side with a chamfered quoined surround and a four-centred arch, along with a small window on the south side. Its roof is designed in a shallow truncated pyramid form. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with Spring Hill, No. 14.
