Description

Number 5, including stables and outbuildings immediately to the south, is a house and outbuildings dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The structure is built of brick and rubble, with rendered surfaces and roofs made of stone slate and corrugated asbestos. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. There is a door with an overlight on the right side, and the windows are sashes with glazing bars set in flush wood frames. A ridge stack is located at the center of the house.

To the right of the house is a single-storey outbuilding with three bays, featuring a segmental passage archway with board double doors on the left and inserted garage doors on the right. At the rear, which can only be seen from the road, there is another outbuilding, reputed to be a stable block, which has two segmental-headed windows, a loft door in between, stone sills, brick dentil eaves, and a small wooden louvred lantern. The interior has not been inspected.
