Description
Wern Wgan is a house and outbuildings dating from the 19th century. The structure is made of whitewashed rubble stone and features a single slate close-eaved roof. The house, located on the left, has stone end stacks, with the left end stack displaying an external chimney breast and the right stack positioned on the ridge. It is two storeys high with an irregular front that has three windows. The upper floor includes two square 6-pane sash windows, both with stone voussoirs above them, and a longer 12-pane sash window under the eaves to the right. On the ground floor, there are openings with stone voussoirs, featuring 12-pane sash windows on either side of the door, although only the right sash aligns with the window above. The windows have stone sills. At the rear, there is an outshut constructed of rubble stone with a corrugated iron roof and a stone stack where it joins the main roof.
The outbuildings to the right are continuous with the house. On the left side, there are two doors with stone voussoirs, likely leading to a lofted stable, with the left door partially blocked to serve as a window. To the right, there is a barn that features vent loops on either side of large cambered-headed double doors, which also have stone voussoirs above.
