Description
Crosswell House is a two-storey building dating from the 18th century, constructed from whitewashed rubble stone with an imitation slate roof and stone stacks, the larger of which is located to the right. The house features a three-window range that is offset to the left, with the left corner chamfered to accommodate the road junction.
The windows are 12-pane sashes, and the central entrance has a 6-panel door topped by a narrow overlight. All openings have cambered heads with stone voussoirs and slate sills. Notably, there is a 12-pane sash window located in the chamfered angle on the ground floor.
To the right of the main house, there is a single-storey outbuilding that has a large stone stack at its right end. This outbuilding contains two small windows: a 6-pane sash on the left and a 4-pane casement on the right, along with a centrally placed ledged door. The property also features an outshut at the rear.
