Description

Number 6 and the attached outbuilding are a house and outbuildings built in 1720, as indicated by the datestone. The structure is made of coursed squared marlstone and features a Stonesfield-slate roof with a limestone ashlar ridge stack. The house has a 2-unit lobby-entry plan and a symmetrical front with three windows. The windows are flat-arched leaded wooden cross windows, which flank a six-panel door situated below a keyed blind oeuil de boeuf that displays the date. The roof is adorned with gable parapets that have moulded kneelers and apex balls, along with a prominent central stack that has a plinth and moulded cap. To the left, the lower outbuilding range includes a doorway and a large window with flat arches, while there is a smaller outbuilding to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
