Description

This is a house, originally two cottages, dating back to the 17th century. It is constructed of coursed squared marlstone with ashlar detailing, and has a thatched roof with a limestone-ashlar ridge stack. The building follows a two-unit gable-entry plan.

The front has two storeys and an attic. The facade originally had two windows, but now has three. These are stone-mullioned windows with labels and leaded glazing, except for the ground floor right-hand side, which features a four-light window. The left-hand gable wall includes a central entrance with a chamfered segmental arch and a label. Above the entrance, at first-floor level, is a three-light mullioned window, and in the gable itself is a two-light mullioned window, positioned below a blocked single light with no label.

The rear of the house features a central, gabled stair projection covered with Stonesfield slates and mullioned windows. Other windows on the rear have renewed lintels and casements. A 19th-century stack is present with a moulded plinth and cap. The interior has not been inspected.
