Description

This is a mid-18th century house, later altered in the 20th century, and now used as a shop and residence. It is located on Colton Road in Whitkirk, Leeds. The building is constructed of brick with a stone slate roof. It has chamfered stone quoins and is two storeys high with a three-plus-one window front. The front includes two modern glazed doors with overlights; a shop window occupies the left side, and the other windows are likely in original openings, although their frames have been replaced with casements. A brick string course runs at first-floor level, and the eaves are dentilled. There are ridge stacks located to the left and between the third and fourth bays (the fourth bay being an addition), and further to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
