SE 10 NW TOWN GATE 4/353 (Upperthong)

No 3 GV II

Formerly 2 dwellings, part of terrace. Mid C18 with mid C19 alterations. Thinly coursed rubble with struck pointing. Quoins. Stone slate roof. Two ashlar stacks. Two storeys. South elevation: later central doorway. To left is 4-light double chamfered stone mullioned window with 2 outer mullions removed. To right is large 2-light window (mid C19) apparently altered from early window. First floor: 2 single light windows (mid C19). Early window, blocked. One 4-light double chamfered stone mullioned window. North elevation: 2 doorways side by side (one blocked) with millstone grit lintels. At west end is fire-window with chamfered surround and segmental false arch. West gable: at first floor level is one 2-light double chamfered stone mullioned window (blocked).
