Description

Royd Top is an early to mid-19th century house, part of a group, constructed with hammer-dressed stone and covered by a stone slate roof with a coped gable. It features two ashlar chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and originally comprised three bays. The central bay contains a doorway with a single light window above. Two three-light stone mullioned windows are located on each floor. The rear elevation includes a modern porch and a partially blocked doorway. The first floor has two two-light stone mullioned windows and one single-light window. A later addition to the west is not included in the listing.
