Description

Broad Lane Farmhouse is an early 18th-century house, part of a farm group. It is built of hammer-dressed stone with quoins, and the walls are rendered. The roof is covered with stone slates, and there are two stacks, one of ashlar. The gable end to the south has a coping and kneelers. The house is two storeys high and originally had two bays, one for the entrance and one for a window. A later sash window now occupies one of these bays. The ground floor has one four-light double chamfered stone mullioned window. The first floor has two four-light double chamfered stone mullioned windows. A single-storey, lean-to extension has been added to the rear.
