Description
12 Town Gate is a building that was formerly two dwellings, predominantly dating from the early to mid 19th century, although it features one early 18th-century window. The structure is constructed from deeply coursed millstone grit and has a stone slate roof, rising to two storeys.
On the south elevation, there is a near-central doorway, while an earlier doorway to the left has been blocked. The elevation includes one three-light stone mullioned window with a raised sill, which may be more recent, and to the right, there is a four-light double chamfered stone mullioned window, although one mullion has been removed. The first floor features four single-light windows.
The north elevation has been modernised.
