Description
The Former Sunday School and School House, now used as a Village Hall, was built in 1837. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof with gable copings and two ashlar stacks. The building is primarily single storey, with the School House rising to two storeys. It has four round arched windows, each with a keystone and impost blocks, and glazing bars. The third window is topped by a small pediment supported by rusticated ashlar piers, and the tympanum includes the inscription: "THIS SCHOOL was built by Subscription AD 1837." To the right, the School House has an entrance and a single light window on the ground floor, as well as a single light window on the first floor. The rear elevation mirrors the front but includes a stone porch over the third bay from the right.
