Description
Lower Wickens Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The building features gable copings on carved kneelers and an ashlar stack with a string course and moulded stone brackets. It is two storeys high and has a near central doorway with a deep lintel. The front elevation includes one five-light and one three-light stone mullioned window, while the first floor has one six-light stone mullioned window (with two central lights blocked) and one three-light window. On the rear elevation, there is one two-light stone mullioned window on the first floor. The north end of the farmhouse slightly projects forward and has one three-light window along with an altered ground floor window.
