Description
Upper Wickens is a farm terrace dating from the late 18th century, with early to mid 19th century features. It is constructed of thinly coursed rubble and has quoins, a stone slate roof, and gable copings on carved kneelers. The building has two storeys and features one ashlar and one hammer dressed stone stack.
The terrace includes three entrances, one of which is blocked. There are four three-light stone mullioned windows on the ground floor, and on the first floor, there are four two-light and two four-light stone mullioned windows. To the left, there are two barns; the central barn has a large doorway with a segmental arch and quoins, along with a smaller doorway. The first floor of the barns has two and three-light stone mullioned windows. At the rear, each barn features large doorways with segmental arches. To the right gable, there is a stone extension with a stone roof and garage doors.
