Description

New Close Farmhouse is an early to mid-18th century house, likely with earlier origins, forming part of a farm group. The farmhouse is constructed of thinly coursed rubble, with quoins marking the lower two floors, and hammer-dressed stone to the second floor. It has a stone slate roof. The house is three storeys high. A two-light window has been added to the ground floor. The first and second floors each feature a five-light stone mullioned window, with one light blocked. On the left side, there is a ground floor entrance and a blocked two-light window to the first floor.
