Description
Holmeside is a mid-18th century farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and stands two storeys high, featuring a partial outshut at the rear. The front has three first-floor windows and quoins on the left side. The central entrance consists of a part-glazed door with a slab lintel above it. The windows are flat-faced mullion types set in architraves, with two lights, except for the first bay which has three lights. There is slab coping on the left side and stacks located at the left end and between the second and third bays. An outbuilding to the right is not of special interest. At the rear, there is a part-blocked landing window with a flat-faced mullion and transom, along with other windows that have flush ashlar surrounds.
