Description
Cartref, Beyond the Sea and the adjoining properties are a terrace of three houses built in the early to mid 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a pitched stone slate roof. The north-west elevation shows three storeys on the left two houses and two storeys on the right. Each house has an entrance and one four-light stone mullioned window, although two of these windows have had two mullions removed. On the first and second floors, each dwelling has one three-light stone mullioned window.
The south-east elevation displays two three-light stone mullioned windows on the ground floor for each dwelling, with several lights blocked. One of the houses includes a porch and a later external chimney stack. On the first floor, each dwelling has one eight-light stone mullioned window, with two of these having four lights blocked. The house on the east side has extensions at the basement level, while the west gable wall features a later single-storey extension.
