Description

Knoll Bridge Farmhouse and Barn are a late 18th or early 19th century farmhouse with an attached barn arranged at a 90-degree angle. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof, featuring gable copings and moulded kneelers. The south elevation of the farmhouse has a central doorway and one 3-light and one 2-light stone mullioned window. A continuous 12-light stone mullioned window runs across the first floor. The north elevation includes a central doorway, a later bow window, a central 3-light stone mullioned window to the first floor, and two 2-light windows. A recent single-story extension adjoins the east gable of the farmhouse. The east elevation of the barn features a central doorway with a segmental arch and quoins, and a single 2-light stone mullioned window at high level, which has been altered.
