Description
Holmroyd Nook is a former range of two dwellings and a barn, dating from the mid to late 18th century, with the barn likely built in the mid 19th century. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with quoins and features a stone slate roof that is covered in bitumen. It has two storeys and three ashlar stacks with strings and caps.
The front of the building has two central doorways, one of which is blocked. To the left, there is a 3-light window on the ground floor and a 4-light window on the first floor. To the right, there is a 4-light window on the ground floor and a 6-light window on the first floor, although several mullions have been removed.
The barn to the right has a central doorway with a round arch, along with small doorways to the left and right. To the left of the barn, a 3-light and a 2-light window have been added to create a dwelling. At the rear of the barn, there is a central doorway with a lintel supported by rounded corbels. Additionally, at the rear of the houses, there are a 6-light and a 3-light stone mullioned window at first floor level.
