Description

Nos 19 and 21 on Rochdale Road are early to mid 19th century weavers' houses. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a pitched stone slate roof with a coped gable on the west side. The houses have paired stone brackets and two gable stacks. They are two storeys tall, with a back-to-earth design. The south elevation includes a near central doorway with a stone surround on the ground floor, flanked by two 4-light stone mullioned windows with pronounced sills. On the first floor, there are two 6-light stone mullioned windows with a continuous pronounced sill.
