Description
Nos 14 and 14A Hart's Hole is a house and adjoining cottage built in the early to mid 19th century, with No 14A dating from the mid 19th century. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a pitched stone slate roof that is covered in bitumen. It has a coped gable and stone brackets, with two gable stacks and a string course.
The structure is two storeys high. On the southeast elevation of No 14, the ground floor has a central doorway with a stone surround and tie-stones, along with one four-light stone mullioned window and one three-light stone mullioned window. The first floor features a twelve-light stone mullioned window with a sill band. The northwest elevation has one three-light stone mullioned window on the first floor.
For No 14A, the southeast elevation includes a ground floor entrance with a stone surround and one two-light stone mullioned window. The first floor has one three-light stone mullioned window with a continuous sill. The northeast gable of No 14A has a ground floor former doorway that is partly blocked and one two-light window with the mullion removed.
