Description

These are two cottages dating from the early to mid-19th century, located on Waller Clough Road, Bolster Moor. They are constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with some parts rendered, and have a pitched roof covered in stone slates, featuring coped gables and two gable and one central chimney stacks. The cottages have moulded footstones and are two storeys in height.

The south elevation features, on the ground floor, an entrance with stone surrounds and tie-stones, and one five-light stone mullioned window with a double lintel. There is also a six-light stone mullioned window with a double lintel. The first floor has a six-light stone mullioned window and two three-light stone mullioned windows. The east gable, which is rendered, has a recent lean-to extension built of red brick, and a single-light window. The north elevation has a four-light stone mullioned window and a two-light stone mullioned window on the ground floor, and a four-light and a two-light stone mullioned window on the first floor.
