Description
Milestone located at the junction with Wakefield Road, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is a stone post with a rounded top and a cast iron triangular front featuring raised letters. The inscriptions read: "BARNSLEY & GRANGE MOOR ROAD WHITLEY UPPER BARNSLEY HUDDERSFIELD 11 MILES 5¼ MILES BRETTON 4½ MILES."
