Description

Milestone located in front of number 30 on Barnsley Road in Flockton. This milestone dates from the mid to late 19th century and features a cast iron triangular front mounted on a stone post. The inscriptions on the milestone indicate distances to Barnsley and Grange Moor Road, stating 6¼ miles to Barnsley, 15 miles to Grange Moor, and 3½ miles to Bretton.
