SE 11 SE SPRINGFIELD LANE Kirkburton 5/99 21/10/75 Gateway with gate and gate piers at East Lodge G.V. II

Gateway to mill. Mid C19. One ashlar gate pier, formerly with pyramidal cap (now gone). Cast iron gates with spear-headed bars and dog bars, top rail with scroll decoration. Later inserted wicket gate. Lock has name of maker: "T. Ashworth, Burnley". Lodge gate is supported by the wall of the Lodge.
