Description
The Smiths Arms is a detached public house, dated 1669 with a 19th-century wing at the rear. It has rendered walls and a stone slate roof with chamfered gable copings on cut kneelers. The building features a central and gable stack, both of which have been altered. The public house is two storeys high. The central doorway has an elaborate ornamental datestone reading "IR GR 16 69". To the left of the doorway is a six-light double chamfered window with a king mullion, and two three-light chamfered windows to the first floor. To the right are a three-light double chamfered window on each floor. A two-light, blocked, double chamfered window is present in the right gable apex. The interior has been modernised.
