Description

Numbers 1, barn, and number 2 form a single range of buildings that includes a barn, a farmhouse (formerly two dwellings), and a cottage, dating from the late 18th century. The structure is made of hammer-dressed stone, with quoins that are partly rendered at the rear. The roofs are pitched, with the barn featuring a stone slate roof and a coped gable. The building has two storeys, with the ground floor at the back set into the earth.

On the southeast elevation of the farmhouse, the ground floor has two entrances with stone surrounds, one of which is partly blocked to create a 2-light window. There is also a 3-light stone mullioned window, a 4-light stone mullioned window (which has had two mullions removed), and a single light window. The first floor features a 6-light stone mullioned window with a pronounced sill and a 9-light stone mullioned window, of which three lights have been blocked, resulting in two 3-light windows.

The cottage, which slightly breaks back from the main terrace, has an entrance with stone surrounds and a 3-light stone mullioned window on the ground floor, while the first floor contains a 5-light stone mullioned window with one light blocked.

The barn includes a large doorway with a semi-circular arched head that is partly blocked, a small doorway with stone surrounds, one 2-light window, and a single window.
