Description
Numbers 4 to 10 on Coalpit Lane are two houses, likely once divided, dating from 1770. They are built from hammer-dressed stone with quoins and feature a stone slate roof that has been turned. The buildings are two storeys high and have two entrances, one of which is blocked, while the other has the inscription "O J E 1770" above a deep lintel.
The front facade includes two three-light windows and several altered windows. There is also one later doorway. On the first floor, there are two two-light windows that have had their mullions removed, along with two three-light windows. A small later bow window is present, and there is a small 19th-century addition at the rear.
