Description

Intake Head Cottages, built in the early to mid 19th century, are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a pitched stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high.

On the east elevation, the ground floor originally had four 2-light stone mullioned windows, but the mullions have been removed and replaced with modern casements. There is also one blocked 2-light stone mullioned window. The first floor has five 2-light stone mullioned windows, with the centre window blocked.

The west elevation features four 2-light stone mullioned windows on the ground floor, some of which have had their mullions removed and are partially blocked. The first floor also has four 2-light stone mullioned windows, with the central window blocked.

On the north gable, there is a former loading door to the first floor, along with a modern lean-to porch extension. The south gable has three 2-light stone mullioned windows on the first floor.
