Description
Intake Head Farmhouse is an early to mid 18th century building constructed from hammer-dressed stone, featuring quoins and a pitched stone slate roof with moulded footstones. The farmhouse has two storeys and two chimney stacks.
On the east elevation, the ground floor includes a 6-light stone mullioned window that is double chamfered with a central King mullion, a 4-light stone mullioned window that is also double chamfered, and a 4-light stone mullioned window where two lights are blocked. The first floor has a 6-light stone mullioned window (double chamfered with a central King mullion), two 2-light stone mullioned windows, and one altered 4-light stone mullioned window where two mullions have been removed.
The west elevation features a doorway with stone surrounds and a single light window with stone surrounds on the ground floor, while the first floor has two single light windows with stone surrounds. The south gable includes a small lean-to extension with an entrance.
